The First Labor Skills Competition
2020-09-10
On March 25, the Metalworking Workshop organized the first MinTe Labor Skills Competition, themed "Compete for Quality, Innovation, Dedication, and Progress." The competition comprehensively covered key areas such as production output, product quality, workplace safety, 5S site management, labor discipline, cost control, and innovation. This initiative aims to elevate technical expertise, recognize outstanding employees, and strengthen team cohesion within the company. By inspiring workers to enhance their skills, boost their enthusiasm, and increase their productivity, the event fosters a workshop culture of learning from and striving to match industry leaders—encouraging employees to master new skills while competing in technical proficiency. Ultimately, the competition seeks to improve workers' overall competencies, elevate their professional qualities, and bolster the company's competitive edge in the market.
Minte Automotive Air Conditioning Successfully Held Its First QC Achievement Conference
On November 22, the first-phase QC成果 (Quality Control Achievement) report meeting was held in the company's multi-purpose hall on the second floor. The meeting was organized by Wu Wenwen, Assistant to the General Manager. This phase saw three teams submit their quality achievement reports, each providing a detailed analysis of topics such as "Mixed Packaging," "Valve Body Leakage," and "Residual Burrs on Valve Bodies." Additionally, the teams shared the rationale behind their chosen QC project topics.
What is lean production?
Lean Production, also known as "Superior Production," derives its name from two key concepts: "Jing" symbolizes excellence, precision, and refinement, while "Yi" represents benefits, efficiency, and value. At its core, Lean Production focuses on manufacturing exactly when needed, eliminating defects, and systematically removing all forms of waste—aiming relentlessly toward zero defects and zero inventory. This innovative approach was introduced by MIT's International Motor Vehicle Program, a groundbreaking research initiative. After extensive studies and meticulous comparisons, the team concluded that Toyota Motor Corporation's production system in Japan stood out as the most effective and adaptable production management model for modern manufacturing enterprises. They dubbed this method "Lean Production," highlighting its ability to address the inefficiencies and over-engineering often associated with traditional mass-production strategies in the U.S.
Carrying forward the past and forging ahead, we strive to build a world-class enterprise.
In January 2017, I attended the 2016 Supplier Conference hosted by Songzhi Co., Ltd. and was honored with the title of "Outstanding Supplier." This recognition reflects the long-standing appreciation for our company's product quality—and serves as a powerful encouragement to keep striving forward together, working hand in hand to drive technological innovation to even greater heights.
Reflections on "The Wandering Earth" and Its Implications for Business Management
On February 12, the eighth day of the first lunar month—and also the very first day Minter Company resumed operations—the general manager led our team in a fun team-building activity: we watched the movie *The Wandering Earth*. Set in the not-too-distant future, the film depicts a scenario where the sun is rapidly aging and expanding, threatening to engulf the entire planet. To save Earth, humanity has constructed tens of thousands of planetary engines on the planet's surface, propelling it out of the solar system in search of a new home. Thus begins Earth's and humanity's epic journey—a cosmic odyssey expected to last as long as 2,500 years. In this race against time, countless individuals bravely step forward, sacrificing everything they have in an unwavering determination to ensure the survival and legacy of generations yet to come…
Farewell Banquet
"Time flies like a song in the blink of an eye, and once gone, moments never return." On September 5, 2017, Wang, the company’s CFO, was officially retiring—a milestone that truly left a bittersweet feeling in his heart. In a message shared with the company’s DingTalk group, Wang Yiming reflected: "Today, September 5, marks the day I bid farewell to MinTe and embark on a new chapter in life. Over the past 15 years at MinTe—especially the first six years in Guangzhou, during which we faced the terrifying SARS outbreak in 2003 (the very place where it originated)—I’ve experienced both joyful highs and tough, tearful lows as we navigated the bustling auto parts market alongside General Wu. Yet, through it all, we’ve steadily built something meaningful, one step at a time..."
